Invisible Creature does it again.

Invisible Creature does it again.

It is finally here, my Senior Art Thesis. It is titled Strangers in the Mirror and it will be an illustration installation. I have been working hard on this all semester which is why I have not been posting much. All of you are welcome to come and see the show. It will be at the Biola University Art Gallery from May 7th - May 11th and the opening reception is on Monday May 7th from 6:00PM - 9:00PM, which will include good food and great people. If you want more information about the show, then check out the facebook event page here. Also if you would like a showcard then please let me know (kburch90@gmail.com) and I’ll be sure to send you one.

So it has been awhile since I have posted on here. I have been wrapped up in work and my Senior Art Show coming up on May 7th. But I came across this illustrator from the UK today, Robert Frank Hunter, and I had to share his work. His work is simple, but still visually interesting and effective. Check out more of his work on his website here.

Ice Cube celebrates The Eames. This is by far one of the greatest descriptions of the Eames I have ever heard. Mostly because he says “Bitch” in the middle of it.

Check Oliver Munday’s website when you get a chance. He is a graphic designer based in New York. I have been looking through his work a lot today. He has some smart conceptual ideas that are effective and clear.

I am beginning to work on my next design project on the This American Life episode titled, “Original Recipe.” In the episode Ira Glass is certain he has found the original secret recipe to Coca-Cola. You can listen to the episode if you want here.

This is an exhibition poster I designed for The Delani Sonnabend Halls at the Museum of Jurassic Technology.

I apologize for the blurry image, for some reason when I upload it, tumblr makes it look that way.

This is a logo and stationary system I designed for a class. These are for the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City, CA. If you have not seen the museum you should check it out, it’s fascinating.

I cannot stop listening to this. Brian Wilson is a genius. I can’t believe it took this long for SMiLE to be released.

I found just about the greatest blog of all time. It is called Typographer Ryan Gosling. It might just be the type nerd in me that loves these, but I think to some degree, EVERYONE can appreciate these.

Matthew Hollister is an illustrator based out of Seattle. His illustrations are witty and he has a great grasp of texture and composition.

This an awesome bachelor graduation project from Frederic Brodbeck about visualizing and measuring movie data. You can read more about it here.
